Lots of material in this; challenging teachers to make learning relevant. I found the definition of entertain vs engage interesting because I sometimes feel students demand entertainment [passive] rather then become engaged [active] Would talking about the upcoming elections engage my English class?

Introduction to blogging - I find bogging a useful tool myself for reflection and collecting links and material from workshops/conferences etc. Easier to find than a dusty file but I still rarely look back. A good tool to record student progress in rehearsals but i think it would  better if I could get them to do it!

What 60 schools do video? Schools can change, we need to work together - our neighboring school  may have solved the problems we anticipate. Chaotic, dynamic, messy, permeable, adaptive...course construction, are we doing this at Hornby High? "Not disruptive" changes to senior curriculum. How do we make progress "fail forward"?
Barriers- my subject, my space, my time. The silos that prohibit us.

  4. Impact. The group believes their work is purposeful and positively impacts the greater good.
Yes, that's four, not five. The last one stood out from the rest: psychological safety.
